Taking place in more than 350 cities across Europe, the annual European Researchers’ Night offers the public an opportunity to explore the world of research and innovation, engage directly with researchers and entrepreneurs, and discover how science can positively influence our daily lives.
In Cyprus, the Research and Innovation Foundation has organised the Researchers’ Night since 2006. This year, people could explore PoCCardio in the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING) pavilion and learn how the project supports personalised medicine for heart patients through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
PoCCardio was represented by the CING Bioinformatics Group, which is developing an AI analytic tool that provides information on diagnostic and clinical data for cardiovascular diseases and can model and predict disease severity and treatment response for patients with an extremely high risk of suffering from a heart attack.
